Let the Journey Begin...

After lots of dreaming, thinking, and perusing the web for travel insight….it is time to start our adventure ~ Fifty Days in France. We have spent the last nine years (4 in doctoral school, and the last 5 getting my husband, Chris, through the tenure process). He began his 6th year as a professor of consumer research this fall and will go up for tenure in the spring. The reason for France, Chris will be teaching a business course at the Universite de Caen Basse Normandie. We have 4 awesome kids (Ryan-10, Rebekah-8, Jacob-7, & Halle-4) who are ready to journey with us on our adventure. We have declared this year a year of jubilee & celebration of the Lord’s faithfulness, graciousness, & love on this long, challenging, and oh so precious journey we have been on.

We will use this blog to keep friends and family updated, and share our journey of exploring France. We love you & appreciate you celebrating & joining with us in reading our online journal. If you found us online – welcome – and we hope our travels inspire you to enjoy life and explore whether locally or abroad. Life is full and fast paced and finding or might I say making margin in our daily life to spend time with Jesus and enjoy the everyday can be a challenge. Sometimes we look up and a chunk of days or even years have passed and we haven’t stopped to celebrate or take a step back to gain perspective in the new season we may be in. So for us, this is our step back. A time to step away from the everyday and celebrate the last 10 years and gain perspective and inspiration for the days ahead. Bonne journee!!
