Apartment, Burgers & Ralph

We spent most of the day at the apartment.  Ryan & Rebekah are finishing up some school work & Jacob & Halle built forts in the kid's bunk room.  It was a nice day with our bright windows onto St. Germain Boulevard.  Mom spent the day Christmas shopping & visiting the Champs Elysees Christmas market.  This evening - we needed an outing - so we went to find a little deli in St. Germain that we had heard was really good & would be kid friendly.  We couldn't find it anywhere but had a nice walk through the streets regardless.  We made our way through the St. Germain market, and to a cafe called Tennessee that the kids had asked to try.  They wanted hamburgers & fries & hamburgers & fries is what we had.  :)

Afterwards, we went to see Wreck it Ralph, or as the French say, Les Mondes de Ralph.  The kids thoroughly enjoyed it alongside their peanut m&ms, kit-kat bon-bons, & gummy fruit.  Super cute movie & learned something new when traveling in a foreign country.  If the movie posts 'VO' next to the film name at the theater it means it will be played in the Voice Original - so for us the movie was played in English with French subtitles.  Just for fun, though, here is a preview of the movie in French even though we saw it in English.

This is the second movie for the boys while here in France.  Chris had told Ryan if he completed reading the Hobbit he would take him to see the movie.  He finished the book & so they had a guys night out at the movies.  They loved it! Chris said Jacob kept giving spontaneous hugs all night to both he & Ryan because he was so happy to be out with just the guys.  :)

The also were able to see the movie in English with French Subtitles.   But why not mix things up & watch a trailer in French on the blog - we're in France - why not!! :)
