Please please pray for our friend, Sarah! She is in the hospital after a series of mini strokes. She had another
stroke a few hours after they put the stint in her coratid artery. The stroke was in
the area of the brain that controls speech and the right side of her
body. She had been progressively responding to stimuli but is still not
talking yet. After a CT scan, they determined that she has swelling on
the brain. They had given her meds and oxygen & performed a procedure that could help alleviate the
swelling. The procedure went as the doctors expected and as of the last
post there has been no improvement in her condition. Please pray for the swelling in her brain to subside. Someone posted on her guestbook on the caring bridge site the verses from Sarah's Christmas card found in Psalm 63:
"O God, you are my God; earnestly I seek you; my soul thirsts for you; my flesh faints for you, as in a dry and weary land where there is no water. So I have looked upon you in the sanctuary, beholding your power and glory. Because your steadfast love is better than life, my lips will praise you. So I will bless you as long as I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. My soul will be satisfied as with fat and rich food, and my mouth will praise you with joyful lips, when I remember you upon my bed, and meditate on you in the watches of the night; for you have been my help, and in the shadow of your wings I will sing for joy. My soul clings to you; your right hand upholds me."
Please pray for Greg and their kids (Ava, Halle, & Will). I can't even imagine how hard this must be for him & these sweet kids wondering what's going on with their mom. Both Sarah & Greg's parents are there in Austin to be with them.
Thanks for posting! Sure will be praying for all of them! Hope you guys are doing well. Love you!
