Eiffel Tower

Chris had to head back to Normandy on Monday, so we had an early start so we could see a little bit before he left.  He & Katharine went to breakfast at a tiny cafe downstairs called LouLou's.  We met up with them after & all loaded up on the metro to see the Eiffel Tower.

It was a beautiful morning, bright blue skies, and a tower waiting to be explored.  We got to the entrance and everyone was game for the summit of the tower. The view is amazing & was the first time we all had been up to the summit.  Chris and I saw the Eiffel Tower in 2009 but never went up on it.  It was so special to see it as a family and have Honey & Mimi there with us.

 

Here is Chris & the kids waiting at the train station to head back to the apartment.  Chris needed to get back to get his suitcase to get on the train to Caen & the kids needed to do some school work.  We had crossaint sandwiches when we got home & Jacob declared we did a little bit of the song we had sung all year.....  In case you missed it in an earlier post - here it is again:
