Gingerbread & Chris

There is something amazing about the smell of hot gingerbread & a cup of coffee.  Here is what my dad said so well this morning:

Woke up my first morning to the aroma of toasted Gingerbread, straight from one of Paris's famous bakeries......yummy. The grandkids are watching Woody Woodpecker in French, just like they were home. Now it's off to shop for goodies for the kids. Merry Christmas.

My favorite recipe for gingerbread is by Joann Chang in her cookbook Flour.  A dear friend made it for me once & it quickly became my favorite.

Chris is finishing up his class today - He posted a photo of his students presenting their projects & a pot luck lunch they hosted for himHe has been gone all week to Normandy - so we will be soooo glad to have him with us to begin the Christmas & New Year's celebration tonight.

Had 6 great presentations for the final projects in the social enterprise marketing class

Pic of party today celebrating end of our social enterprise class - called it a French potluck - really tasty!

PS - We know some fun visitors are landing at CDG as we speak for their Christmas/New Year's vacation.  I could barely get my kids to sleep last night they were so excited.  Their excitement is bubbling over to see some friends real soon.  Stay tuned to see who is in Paris, France.  :)
